A lot of interesting discussions happenin’ in the stationery community lately, but this week has been so weird for me that I’m afraid I feel a bit overwhelmed and behind. Anyway, on with the show!
Stationery-related
My Views On Reviews | Write Analog
What a great post on stationery reviews. I really appreciate Mark’s openness, and I think it’s great that stationery bloggers are discussing this topic. Much respect to those who are taking their time to share their code of ethics.
An Extension to the Baron Fig Confidant and Nock Co. DotDash Pocket Notebook Reviews - The Newsprint
Josh Ginter’s new favorite pocket memo book, revealed! :) It’s Nock Co.’s new black DotDash, and I’m gonna have to give it a try soon.
Inch by Inch, a monthly one-inch button club (via Busy Beaver)
I like the idea of this club! And it’s for a good cause. Busy Beaver Button Co. and French Paper – both of which we’re familiar with as Field Notes fans – are involved.
Things I tried recently and liked
House Industries Labels & Stickers
Gorgeous fonts. 'Nuff said.
Lined, kraft sticky notes from Target (in the Dollar Spot bins)
Surprisingly good for a buck!
For Fun
ねこあつめ (Neko Atsume)
A game app I am obsessed with these days. You’re basically opening up your back yard to irresistibly cute cats, and you provide them with food and toys. I have no shame. It’s so cute and whimsical. Simple in concept but addictive. In Japanese but it’s not too hard to figure out, or you can use the English guide here.
The 'Everything' Formula - Numberphile - YouTube
I’m no math nerd, I just like watching Numberphile videos. Matt Parker, who explains Tupper’s Self-Referential Formula in this video, is my favorite!
Hope you had a good weekend,
